Thank You for a Great Scuba Adventure

I wanted to drop a long over-due email regarding our scuba diving experience in Thailand.  It originally wasn’t supposed to be a scuba diving trip. We were going snorkeling at the Similan Islands.  We were on the excursion where one of the two motors on the boat stopped working.  It was the week of March 14th.  This meant that we could no longer make it to the Similan Islands and had to divert to a wreck dive that was only good for Scuba.  We had already had a vacation that had some issues and felt like we where jinxed.

Thankfully, Captain Matthias Meurer was there and jumped to our rescue.  He suggested that we take a “Discover Scuba” course and do some scuba diving rather than have our day be ruined.  I can tell you that I am a very cautious person and wasn’t sure about how safe this was.  However, Captain Meurer’s confidence and skill won us over.  It was an excellent training program and we had two great dives that day.  We were so hooked that we set out on an excursion the next day and had two more spectacular dives at Koh Bon.

Thanks to Captain Meurer, we are now scuba divers and have developed a passion for the sport.  I wanted to drop you an email to let you know how much we appreciated Captain Meurer and the care he took with introducing Scuba to me and my family.  In the future, we will most likely try to go diving wherever he is.

Thanks again,

Scott Rust
