Hi everyone, my name is Jans and I like to introduce myself here to the rest of the world‘!

I am a new Sea Bees member, and working here as a Divemaster since the beginning of November! My name is Jans, and I am from ‘lovely’ Holland ; 24 years young and still looking for my ‘prince’ …….

Before I came to the land of the smile I was living for a while in the Caribbean! I lived on St Maarten and worked there as a representative on the airport, for a destination management company. There is where my diving experience began……as we sold lot’s of excursions, also diving packages, I had to go and experience it myself of course! What an adventure, and what an amazing underwater world, just magnificent! I started to do my PADI Open Water Course over there, and in my first dive into the great ocean I saw a swimming white tip reef shark….I still can remember it! That’s how my ‘diving adventure’ began….

The last years I travelled a lot around the world, from Singapore to Malaysia, from Thailand to Tobago, Trinidad, Saba, Anguilla and much more…… anyway a bit to much to get into detail here, but you are welcome to ask me about it when you are here

Back home in the Netherlands I was studying my bachelor degree, in Tourism Management and Business Administration. Therefore I went to the Netherlands Antilles, Curacao to write my thesis. I already felt in love with the Caribbean but Curacao was it all…..the people, the sun, the life and course the diving, absolutely stunning!! Therefore I decided to do my Divemaster course over there in my free time or in the weekends! There my diving career began…

As I graduated my bachelor education, me and my brother (who also finished his education) decided to travel to Thailand….just a couple off months vacation, relaxing, backpacking and to do only what we liked to do!!! There we discovered the amazing underwater life of Thailand…we were diving all over Thailand, but especially the 3 liveaboard trips we did to the Similan Islands were like a dream….there we saw our first Manta’s , I really do not have words for this creature….and off course the many, many beautiful features that lives in the sea!

As we were diving that much, I knew for sure that I really would like to work in the diving business….After our long ‘holiday’ I decided to go to Spain, Menorca and work as a Divemaster for the high season. That was really an experience for me, I learned a lot from my boss Raimund Brysch….and I was absolutely amazed how I liked the work as a Divemaster.

After the season in Menorca I got a job offer in Thailand…I knew for sure that it was the right job for me… I already knew the country, and it was really a dream come true….

And here I am working for Sea Bees!!! I am really looking forward to dive with you people and to introduce you all to the absolute amazing underwater life.
