Situation update 27/11: Temporary closure of Don Muang Airport Bangkok

Here is another quick update about the situation in Bangkok. As we reported yesterday, there is no problem or delays for ‘non-Bkk-flights’ leaving Phuket to Kuala Lumpur or Singapore.
All direct and charter flight to and from Phuket are operating normal at the moment, for more information on planned flight schedules in the next few days please contact your airline.

Don Muang Airport in Bangkok is temporary closed as well.

The services at the Don Mueang Airport were stopped last night at 12 am after the People’s Alliance for Democracy seized control of the domestic passenger terminal.

But Thursday morning protesters, led by the People’s Alliance for Democracy, cancelled their plan to block the entrance to the Don Mueang military airport.

They cancelled the plan at 8:10 am (Bkk time) after hearing that Cabinet members would not gather there for flying to attend a Cabinet meeting in Chiang Mai.

We will keep you up to date about the situation in Bangkok.
